Job Summary:
The Service Asset and Configuration (SACM) Analyst works with the Service Managers, project management, change management process, IT support teams, and administrative functions to perform day-to-day asset lifecycle management operations. The role will perform data analysis, auditing, quality reviews and data entry into the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensure all assets under management are properly controlled, and that accurate and reliable Information about lifecycle and configuration status is available as and when requested.
• Performs state and configuration audits to validate physical asset inventory is consistent with the CMS and initiate any required root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Understands the scope of asset and configuration management processes, function, the items to be controlled, and information that is to be recorded.
• Assess and as required, drive implementation of effective and efficient Request and Change processes within the IT Organization to deliver required Asset and Configuration data supporting life-cycle processes.
• Deliver to support achievement for SLA and KPIs associated with data accuracy and data completeness.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to advance capabilities of less experienced staff.
• Review and improve accuracy and content of the operational procedure's knowledge base.
• Control the receipt, identification, storage, and withdrawal of all supported assets through life-cycle.
• Responsible for the management of IT hardware and accessories within the organization.
• Planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance.
• Will also develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.
• Optimize usage and cost of IT hardware deployments.
• Manage complete asset lifecycle including acquisition, deployment, utilization, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT assets.
• Identify new requirements & prepare various reports & amp, consumption analysis.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• ITIL V3 or V4 foundation Certified.
• Good verbal and written communication
• Good experience on ServiceNow or any ITSM platform
Work Location: Bangalore
Shift Timings: 2 PM - 11 PM (should be flexible to support EST zone overlap)
Work Classification: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
