Purpose:

To be the CME partner of the Client Coverage and the Product Specialist teams with the aim of driving business growth and efficiently delivering an excellent experience for customers. The position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to develop his or her credit risk and financial analysis skills, deal execution and portfolio risk management capabilities, assist in training and coaching of graduates to senior associates, improve client relationship management skills and to play a key role in driving superior client outcomes and delivering world class client relationships.

Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements:

Essential Capabilities

• Credit writing and analysis is of excellent quality and capable of completing complex credit requests;
• Knowledge of deal execution process is first class and is confident and competent in management of all relevant stakeholders to achieve positive client experiences;
• Development of these capabilities in junior team members.

Other Capabilities

• Moderate to advanced Excel skills
• A sound understanding of debt and financial markets products.

Experience

• Prior experience in banking including experience with credit and compliance processes;
• Experience working with and contributing to a team environment
• Strong understanding of bank processes, systems, products and services.

Qualification Requirements

• Undergraduate qualification in law, finance, business or accounting

Key Decisions

• Associate directors usually hold a delegated commitment authority exercised in conjunction with the Credit Risk area.

Key Accountabilities

• Structuring of transactions, the efficient preparation credit submissions and recommendations on transactions to credit (the candidate can complete these tasks themselves or overview them being completed);
• Support transaction execution through due diligence, pricing, credit and legal documentation (the candidate can complete these tasks themselves or overview them being completed);
• Utilise product and sector expertise to contribute in problems solving for the portfolio, clients and potential clients;
• Identify areas of development for team members to support high performance of the team;
• Responsibility for managing the ongoing monitoring of the risk profile and compliance requirements of client portfolio, ensuring portfolio hygiene is to an excellent standard;
• Continuously seek to optimise the return on capital deployed and resources invested by the business;
• Maintain an ongoing awareness of NAB’s credit policies, credit and market risk and internal risk appetite.
