Associate manager - Electrical BOP

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and execute the installation and testing of HV/LV Switchgear, Auxiliary Transformers, HT/LT Motors, DC Systems, VFDs, and associated electrical systems in the BOP and Common areas.
• Oversee cable tray routing, cabling, and termination activities, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate equipment receipt, inspection, and readiness for installation, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure timely handover of electrical systems to the commissioning and operations team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project milestones are met.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols during all phases of electrical installation and testing.
• Optimize resource allocation and scheduling to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
• Maintain detailed documentation of installation and testing activities for future reference and audits.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Align activities with the strategic priorities of the Thermal Power business unit, contributing to Adani’s vision of reliable and affordable power supply.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in electrical installation and testing within thermal power plants, with a focus on BOP areas.
• Proven expertise in handling HV/LV Switchgear, Auxiliary Transformers, HT/LT Motors, DC Systems, and VFDs.

 

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• Advanced certifications in electrical systems or power plant operations are preferred.

 

Years & Type of Experience

• 10+ years of experience in electrical systems installation and testing in thermal power plants.
• Hands-on experience in managing large-scale projects with strict quality and safety standards.
