The Administrative Technician 2 will be responsible for receiving shipments and mail, transporting mail and supplies to locations throughout Wayne County. Additionally, the Administrative Technician 2 will be tasked with cleaning, shoveling, and salting the walkways, maintaining the grounds to ensure they are free from litter at the entrances and parking lot of the Health Administration Building, and additional duties as assigned.
Required Tasks
- Perform vehicle maintenance, both interior & exterior, according to prescribed vehicle maintenance schedule; Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, as appropriate; Perform minor reports & service of vehicle.
- Pickup/deliver/sign for: U.S. mail, FedEx, UPS, interoffice mail, equipment, furniture, dental equipment/supplies, vaccines/biologics, blood/urine specimens, medical and office supplies
- Sort and/or meter mail. Monitor and insert postage on machine. Pickup or drop off items/supplies from/to USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.
- Shovel snow, disperse salt, sweep, and/or pick up trash around exterior/interior of building, parking lot, grass areas, and garage.
- Pickup/move/deliver heavy items, which may weigh over 70 lbs. Load/unload, pack/unpack, and dis/assemble packages/boxes. Issue office/medical supplies.
- Operate pallet truck and walkie stacker
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Attend all required trainings.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in general clerical and/or manual tasks.
- Valid Drivers license
