Key Tasks & Responsibilites
- Promotes the business management system (BMS) through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, BMS statement, BMS manual, and production procedures.
- Promotes health, safety and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Works with management team to ensure the production line needs are met in a timely manner. Focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for reviewing the training/evaluating of production employees to ensure optimum production efficiencies (KPI’s).
- Ensures the plant is running efficiently while quality of products produced meets or exceeds company standards.
- Must be available via phone for 24/7 plant support.
- Responsible for improving communication between production teams and other departments.
- Assists with inventory counts and waste reduction initiatives.
- Generates requisitions for production supplies and maintenance work orders.
- Provides information at the daily production meetings regarding the current line status (including issues, causes, and preventative techniques used to prevent further issues).
- Responsible for manpower utilization of production crews, ensuring hours are kept under control to avoid a negative work life balance for employees.
- Coordinates shutdown activities for production lines, ensuring timely startups.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Be a self-starter and work independently.

- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Computer Equipment And Software Requirements
· This position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.
Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Education And Experience Required
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- B.S. in related field preferred.
Two years of industry experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.
Licensing Or Other Special Requirements
Requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Working Conditions:
· Moderate Dust.
· Moderate Noise.
- Automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
- Hot and cold climates.
Must be able to work around hot asphalt tanks, lines and pumps constantly.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 60 lbs.; assisted lifting up to 120 lbs., repeatedly.
- Ability to climb stairs often and ladders periodically.
- Ability to work shift work.
- Visual Acuity (including color perception).
