This is a full-time continuing position with salary in the range $102,565 - $111,686 (HEW 7), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.
Lead the Faculty of Science's global reach, driving student mobility programs and fostering strong relationships with international partners.

About This Opportunity
Join the Faculty of Science as a Senior International Engagement Officer and play a key role in shaping the experience of our international students. You will manage student mobility programs, support international agreements, and foster strong relationships with partner universities, recruitment agents, students, and alumni. Working within a high-performing team, contribute to regional strategy, drive enrolment outcomes, and help deliver innovative initiatives that connect global talent with our faculty.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
International Partnerships & Student Programs
- Manage credit assessments, study plans, and academic progress to support articulation cohort’s student success.
- Coordinate international agreement renewals and contribute to developing new partnerships and articulation pathways.
- Lead outbound student mobility programs, including logistics, compliance, and student support.
- Design and deliver virtual and in-country engagement initiatives for incoming articulation cohort students.
Recruitment, Engagement & Events
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies in key international markets.
- Support university partners and agents to promote articulation pathways and priority programs.
- Plan and deliver student-focused events, including offer conversion events, welcome programs and program information sessions.
- Provide ongoing advisory support to international cohort students.
Monitoring, Reporting & Collaboration
- Monitor cohort’s student intake, program performance, and budgets while contributing to strategy evaluation.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support a collaborative, high-performing team and faculty priorities.
Please note the role may involve interstate or international travel, and occasional after-hours work.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in international recruitment, marketing, business, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience with credit assessments, articulation agreements, study plans, and international student mobility programs (e.g., New Colombo Plan).
- Proven ability to develop and manage international partnerships, recruitment strategies, and conversion activities onshore and offshore.
- Strong project management, administrative, and event coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills across diverse cultural and organisational contexts.
- Collaborative, flexible, and results-focused, with sound judgement and initiative.
- Proficiency in digital tools including event management software, email marketing platforms and databases.
- Language skills relevant to priority markets are highly desirable.
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
