We are currently seeking a Head of Security to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur.

About the mission we offer you: 

He/she is responsible for the implementation of the Technip Energies Security and Incident Management systems in his/her Operating Center. 

He/she ensures the coordination and management of the Security Correspondents and/or Managers of the operating entities, projects and sites within his/her Operating Center in coordination with the Global Security Team

Main Accountabilities

  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other OCs and Corporate Security Managers
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise to OC, Local business leaders and Project Directors.
  • Create and maintain OC and local security network.
  • Support Global Security when required on company-wide initiatives and other programs and projects as relevant.
  • Identify and manage key external security providers within his / her OC as per company Procurement, compliance, and security standards.
  • Educate personnel on Threat and Risks and subsequent prevention and mitigation measures.
  • Conduct Security Risk Assessments as company standards and guidelines
  • Collect and analyze Security information to identify new or changing threats & risks that can affect company Personnel, Operations, Assets and / or Reputation.
  • Based upon the analyzed information develops and implements cost effective physical, technical, and procedural security measures that are in line with Global Security Standards.
  • Conduct Threat, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments and ensure identified gaps are fixed within an agreed period.
  • Ensure travels within her/his area of responsibility are conducted as per SMARTravel requirements.
  • Lead the Regional and Local Incident Management Preparedness & Response and training initiatives.
  • Conduct investigations into Security Incidents that produce meaningful results in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Contribute to monitoring and permanent improvement of Security and Incident Management Systems through Internal Security Audits.

  • Country briefings updates 
  • Project’s security plans and procedures
  • Security Surveys and Inspections
  • Internal Security Audits 
  • Incident & Crisis Management Plans
  • Trainings and Awareness Raising 
  • KPIs Reporting in INTELEX
  • Emergency Notification System (Preparis app) maintainance 
  • Road Map for KPI’s and Objectives for the year
  • Other, as per Global Security Programs

About You:

Must Have:

  • 5+ years’ security / incident management experience in a business or corporate environment or 5+ years management experience in energy sector.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written skills)
  • Master’s degree or comparable work experience
  • Basic IT Tools (Office Suite)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in security operations in their areas of responsibility
  • Knowledge of duty-of-care best practices in support of travelers to high-risk countries
  • Experience in recommending and implementing security technology, including CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and monitoring systems
  • Experience in devising Incident Management plan and training Incident Management Teams
  • Experience conducting Security Risk Assessments and making mitigations recommendations.
  • Knowledge and experience with regulatory compliance requirements 
  • Demonstrated experience in formulating, implementing and critically reviewing security plans
  • Relevant professional certification
  • Good understanding of the local and international relations

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Capacity to innovate and to propose new technologies, new security solutions, and best practices.
  • Ability to remain calm during crisis situations and to lead the team during extreme conditions
