We are currently seeking a Construction Manager to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur.

 About the mission we offer you: 

  • Guarantees services to Projects in terms of assignment of suitable resources (in quantity and quality), monitoring of quality, costs, and compliance to schedule.
  • Supports bidding and execution of Feeds and large ECP projects.
  • Manages resources
  • 1 or several segments.

Main Accountabilities

  • Provides support with all technical services of proposals and estimating as needed.
  • Provides all construction services and deliverables necessary to support the Project execution in cooperation with the Construction Home Office Section Heads.
  • Plans all the deliverables and activities to be executed by the Construction Department on the Project, and allocate the necessary resources in a timely manner in cooperation with the Construction Home Office Section Heads.
  • Performs periodical audit at sites to verify the correct application of Project Procedures.
  • Collects all feedback and lessons learned from the Sites (for instance on erection matters, missing information on Standard methods, etc.).
  • Defines, in cooperation with the Construction Department Home Office Section Heads, procedures and IT tools necessary to support Construction execution.
  • Assigns Construction Engineers to projects.
  • Ensures proper resource utilization among the Construction Department section according to Company workload in cooperation with the Construction Department Section Heads.
  • Establishes and reviews Company standard procedures in order to fix methodologies and improve current know-how in cooperation with the Construction Department Section Heads.
  • Ensures and contributes to proper recruitment of resources, both for Home Office section and Site in cooperation with the Construction Department Section Heads.
  • Ensures proper training for all the resources recruited for Home Office section or assigned to Site in cooperation with the Construction Department Section Heads.

About You:

  • Possession of a BSc in Construction together with a minimum of fifteen (15) years construction field experience with at least 10 years supervising projects in the capacity of General Foremen/Superintendent/Construction Manager or
  • Possession of a Diploma in Construction together with a minimum of twenty (20) years construction field experience – with at least ten (10) years supervising projects in the capacity of General Foremen/Superintendent/Construction Manager or any equivalent combination of qualifications, training and relevant construction working experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and MS Projects
  • Proven construction engineering and managerial skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of the management of construction sites from commencement to handover
  • In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations governing large construction projects
  • In-depth knowledge of OSH regulations and practice
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and concepts.
  • Working knowledge of the Last Planner System™ and other Lean Construction tools will be a definite asset
