Job Title: Wordpress Technical Support Analyst

Schedule:
  • 40 hours a week flexible
  • Client Business hours: US Central 

Job Summary:

We're seeking a detail-oriented Technical Support Analyst to join our team and help manage our growing portfolio of Wordpress websites. This role is ideal for someone with solid Wordpress experience who enjoys the operational side of web management and has a knack for documenting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Wordpress Site Management

  • Perform regular Wordpress core, plugin, and theme updates across multiple client sites
  • Monitor site health and proactively address performance issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
  • Ensure site backups are active, available and ensure recovery procedures are tested

Performance & Optimization

  • Conduct regular speed tests using GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, and similar tools
  • Review and optimize caching configurations (Cloudflare Edge Caching, LiteSpeed, Object, etc…)
  • Implement performance improvements based on audit findings
  • Monitor Core Web Vitals and make recommendations for improvements

Security & Maintenance

  • Support configuration and maintain WAF rules in Cloudflare and other security platforms
  • Perform security audits and recommend hardening measures
  • Monitor security logs and respond to potential threats
  • Keep security plugins properly configured and updated

Seo & Site Structure

  • Review and audit for proper SEO structure (meta tags, schema markup, XML sitemaps)
  • Ensure technical SEO best practices are followed
  • Identify and fix crawl errors and broken links
  • Support content team with technical SEO requirements

Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Create detailed documentation for all support processes and procedures
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for common tasks
  • Build knowledge base articles for internal use
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements


Requirements

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of hands-on Wordpress management experience
  • Strong understanding of Wordpress architecture, themes, and plugins
  • Experience with caching plugins and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare or similar CDN/WAF services
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and tools
  • Excellent written communication skills for documentation
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MainWP or similar management tools
  • Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and PHP
  • Familiarity with hosting environments (cPanel, staging sites)
  • Experience with page builders (Elementor, Kadence, etc.)
  • Understanding of Google Tag Manager, Analytics and Search Console
