DYS is the juvenile corrections system for the state of Ohio. Job Description
We are seeking an Agency Information Security Professional 1 in our Division of Information Technology Services. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Install, configure, support, monitor, and maintain enterprise security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, SCCM, QUALYS, Workspace) to safeguard State assets against malicious activity
- Utilize security tools for patching, vulnerability management, and threat response
- Develop, revise, and maintain IT policies; administer, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures; monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Ohio Revised Code; effectively communicate policy updates to agency staff
- Conduct routine security audits and risk assessments; identify vulnerabilities, document risks, and recommend remediation strategies to leadership; maintain repository of audit information; develop reporting methodology to ensure accurate tracking of audit responses

Qualifications
36 mos. exp. in computer data security either through monitoring system/network traffic for anomalous activity, systems development or controlling accessibility of data.
Or completion of associate core program in computer science; 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in computer data security either through monitoring system/network traffic for anomalous activity, systems development or controlling accessibility of data.
Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in computer data security either through monitoring system/network traffic for anomalous activity, systems development or controlling accessibility of data.
Or 12 mos. exp. as Information Technology Apprentice, 69910; successful completion of Ohio Cyber Apprenticeship program; additional 12 mos. trg. or exp. in Information Systems/Information Technology with a focus in one of the following areas: Software Engineering/Development, Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, Database Administration, Network, or IT Security.
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. Note: The Ohio Cyber Apprenticeship program is a program offered by the Department Administrative Services. 2000 hrs. of on-the-job experience and 200 certified instructional credits must be earned in order to complete this program. Pre-Service Training:
All new candidates hired to the Department of Youth Services must complete three (3) weeks of paid pre-service training at our Training Academy in Orient, Ohio. The training is Monday-Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
