Worley Consulting Geosciences business comprises a diverse team of geotechnical and civil engineers, engineering geologists and civil designers. We deliver onshore and offshore geotechnical solutions for our customers as an independent service line, whilst working as an integrated offering with a larger capability of multi-disciplinary teams, including Water Resources, Water Infrastructure, Closure, Environmental and Sustainability, Mechanical, Structural, Process and Mining. We provide local and global geotechnical solutions across technically challenging projects working as a partnership with our customers.
We undertake greenfield and brownfield geotechnical solutions for the full life cycle of projects, from strategy, concept, FEL 1-3 design scopes, construction support, operations and maintenance, third party reviews and forensic investigations.
As an Engineering Geologist, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our geotechnical projects. You must also have the ability to work collaboratively across teams and project disciplines.

What You’Ll Do
We are looking for an Engineering Geologist to join our team in Perth.
The Role Responsibilities Include:
- A keen focus on safety and quality assurance.
- Technical engineering geological/geotechnical inputs on a wide variety of projects across the infrastructure, mining, renewables and hydrocarbon sectors.
- The ability to liaise and network with customers on project needs.
- Scoping, planning, supervision and execution of site investigations including geotechnical borehole drilling, CPTs, test pit excavations and hand augers.
- Geotechnical/engineering geological mapping and capability to develop geotechnical ground models.
- Logging of soil and rock according to Australian Standards.
- Preparation of factual and interpretive geotechnical reports.
- Preparation of proposals and technical specifications.
What You’Ll Have
- Tertiary level qualification in Engineering Geology from a recognised institution.
- Relevant years of engineering geological experience.
- Registration with appropriate professional institutions.
- A passion for geotechnical engineering and engineering geology.
- A strong focus on customer needs and project delivery, as well as a keen interest in business development.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- An ability and desire to work in and contribute to dynamic and creative teams.
- Previous site investigation experience covering the range of site investigation approaches.
- Demonstrated experience with commercial geotechnical/engineering geological software packages.
- Previous earthworks /construction supervision as a preference.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrable experience in technical report writing.
- An ability and ambition to travel regionally and internationally.
- An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence with working rights in Australia.
