Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions across the company.
- Manage general ledger entries, journal postings, and monthly closing activities.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reconciliation reports.
- Handle intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.
Payment Processing & Cash Flow Management
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Manage online banking platforms and ensure proper authorization of transactions.
- Monitor daily cash flow and maintain cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and statutory contributions.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (SST, income tax, etc.) and corporate filings.
- Work with tax agents and auditors on annual submissions and statutory audits.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and support internal process audits.
- Develop and maintain internal SOPs for finance operations.
- Implement improvements in accounting systems and workflows to increase efficiency.
- Support operational teams on budgeting and expense tracking.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, preferably in an SME or multi-entity setup.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and Malaysian financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SQL Accounting).
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and integrity in handling financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with investment firm or fund accounting.
- Experience in handling payments across multiple bank platforms.
- Exposure to tax and audit processes in Malaysia.
