Duquesne University School of Nursing (SON) is a widely recognized pioneer in nursing education, having created Pennsylvania’s first BSN program in 1937 and the nation’s first online nursing PhD program in 1997. Due to unprecedented growth, the SON is currently seeking one Full-Time faculty for a 9-month, tenure track position at any rank (assistant professor, associate professor or professor) starting August 2025. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across multiple levels of the curriculum and engage in collaborative scholarship and research.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • Teaching philosophy commensurate with Duquesne University's mission and values.
  • Tenured candidates must present a record of publication and external funding.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful teaching experience at the university or college level – to include both in-person and online instruction.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the profession as evidenced in record of professional.leadership or public service, research and scholarship.
  • Clinical and or scholarly expertise and/or nursing education preferred.
