Senior Technical Specialist

As a Senior Technical Specialist in Nokia’s Network Automation team, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing network management and automation solutions for carrier-grade IP networks. Leveraging your expertise in Java/Spring Boot, J2EE, XML, microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and NMS/EMS systems, you’ll drive innovation, solve complex challenges, and collaborate with skilled professionals on impactful projects—all within a flexible, supportive environment that values both performance and well-being. • Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to design and develop innovative solutions for complex challenges
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to refine and translate technical requirements
• Contribute to architectural discussions to optimize system design for scalability and performance
• Engage in hands-on coding and system design while upholding high-quality standards and best practices
• Drive innovation by exploring new tools, ideas, and methodologies to improve team outcomes
• Take part in impactful projects alongside some of the industry’s brightest engineers
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth within the team
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence through active contribution and collaboration

You Have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong programming and debugging skills in Java or Golang
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance distributed systems for the cloud
• Working knowledge of network management protocols like GNMI, NETCONF/YANG, RESTCONF, and SNMP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

It would be nice if you also had:

• Familiarity with IP networks and protocols such as IP/MPLS
