We are seeking a Vice President, Business Continuity/Recovery to join our award-winning Treasury Services team in Singapore. This hybrid role reports to the TS Regional Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) – APAC and the TS Director of Business Resiliency and Recovery. You will coordinate response and recovery efforts during disruptive events, ensuring seamless communication and support across all levels of the organization, shape the business response to disruptive events and play a pivotal role in enhancing the risk, resiliency and governance environment of the business. This role is located in Singapore.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Co-ordinate Treasury Services' APAC response to and recovery during disruptive events (e.g., technology incidents, geopolitical issues, site/facility issues) partnering closely with our Client Service Team to ensure a customer centric approach to recovery.
- Deliver resiliency messages and updates to Business Partners and Customers during disruptive events and change. Provide timely updates on incident status, mitigation actions, and service availability changes. Keep all stakeholders, especially customers, informed of progress and critical developments.
- Ensure effective handoff of ongoing incidents to colleagues in other regions for continuous client support.
- Support the Business Resiliency and Recovery team to ensure the business is meeting corporate policy requirements related to Business Continuity plans across the APAC region, including coordinating regional activities for BCP review and testing activities as required.
- Engage with APAC Branches and represent the Business in various committees and forums to ensure local requirements relating to Business Continuity and Resiliency are met and provide updates on disruptions and incident management. Assist in internal and external reviews, including but not limited to compliance, risk, and audit reviews.
- Work with business partners in ensuring remedial activities and process enhancements relating to dependent processes are developed holistically, ensuring the lessons learned are applied to prevent future re-occurrence.
- Support the TS APAC CAO Team assess and set appropriate KPIs, KRIs, Dashboards and Reporting appropriate for the business.
- Provide support to the TS APAC CAO team with various ad hoc tasks as needed.
- Supports the TS APAC team to instill BNY’s dynamic, human, and high performing culture in the region driving increased engagement across the APAC business.
We are looking for a candidate who is eager to grow and develop in a dynamic and supportive environment. You should have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7-10 years of experience in banking with a focus on business continuity, disaster recovery, or incident management.
- Knowledge of Business Continuity and Operational Resiliency requirements in APAC.
- Additional relevant experience in fields such as risk management, client communications, or client service is also highly valued.
- Experience in writing client-facing and executive-level communications highly regarded.
