The Project Management (PM) business group is involved in supporting our clients in the planning and delivery of significant facilities and infrastructure projects in Australia. Our core business is to provide Project Management, Design Management and Contract Administration services. We manage the planning and delivery of major capital works projects that include national projects for the Department of Defence and infrastructure projects across the Pacific and in the Indian Ocean Territories for both Defence and the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts. In addition, we provide support to the wider GHD network to deliver landmark infrastructure and property and buildings projects.

Working within our experienced Project Management Team, this position offers a great variety of projects and will see you involved in and assisting with: 

  • Design Management, Project Management and Contract Administration (PMCA) of a range of complex industrial, commercial building and infrastructure projects or programs 
  • Liaising with and supporting relevant stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Building client relationships and coordinating business development activities, including preparation of proposals 

What you will bring to the team

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications – Engineering, Architecture or Project Management, with [KD1]  proven experience in PMCA to deliver successful outcomes
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision [KD2]  and collaborate with a broad cross-section of disciplines across the business, as well as externally
  • Ideally 2-5 years experience delivering PMCA (or Assistant PMCA) or Design [KD3] Services for Defence projects or related industries 
  • Current Defence security clearance or be eligible to apply for clearance 
  • Industrial and commercial building and infrastructure projects or programs experience is essential
  • Understanding of project governance structures, construction methodologies and risk management
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
