We are looking for a Participation and Co-production Support Worker 

Have you got experience working with children and young people? 

Can you engage children, young people and adults, run fun and interactive groupwork sessions and plan projects and activities that support those with lived experience to form and share their views, represent others and work together to influence change?

  • Job title: Participation and Co-production Support Worker
  • Location:  Based at County Hall, Preston though working across Lancashire
  • Salary:  £29,644 - £33,066 (Trainee range - £26,255 - £28,516)
  • Hours: 37 per week, full-time

Contract type: Permanent

  • Closing date: Sunday 2nd November
  • Interview date: Tuesday 18th November (potentially meeting an adult panel during the day and young people in the evening)

This role will support participation and co-production activities across Lancashire, focussing mainly on supporting and growing our LINX Children in Care Council (8-16 years olds), our Care Leaver Forum (17-24 year olds) and POWAR, our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities SEND forum (11-24 year olds). They will also work with teams across our directorate to develop holiday activities and events and work with the rest of the Participation and Co-production Team to advocate and champion children and young people's participation rights at all levels. Whilst the role mainly focuses on those with care experience and/or SEND in Lancashire, there will be some projects and events that are focussed on different groups or needs and the person could also work with adults who interact with Education and Children's Services.

There is an option for the role to be offered on a trainee basis. 

The post will be based within the newly formed Participation and Co-production Team within Policy, Commissioning and Children's Health. We're really looking forward to growing the team with this key supportive role.
