IT Operational Applications Specialist

We are seeking an IT Operational Applications Specialist at DP World’s Yarımca terminal, responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and ongoing development of operational applications.

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensure the continuous operation, development, and high performance of operational applications. 
• Resolve operational issues quickly and inform the manager about any unresolved problems, suggesting practical solutions.
• Identify and analyse problems on the operational applications and find ways to fix them.
•  Develop and apply procedures for using information related to terminal operating systems (TOS) and other applications.
• Provide support during project implementation, recommending the best solutions for operational systems.
•  Prepare and share accurate reports and updates to the direct managers. • Track the progress of objectives and report any issues or delays to the manager. 
• Make sure all tasks assigned by the manager are completed on time and correctly. 
• Follow company rules, IT procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Suggest improvements to processes to increase efficiency and meet business goals. 
• Organize and take part in safety training to ensure workplace safety. • Keep the workplace clean, organized, and safe.
• Report any downtimes, operational applications problems immediately for quick resolution to IT Team. 
• Provide support for urgent operational needs 24/7. 

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with operational applications and supporting software development projects.
• Ability to actively communicate at English level, understand conversations, prepare reports, and maintain correspondence with global stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with vendors or third-party software providers to implement operational software solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of container terminal operations and operational applications such as TOS, GOS etc.
• Strong understanding of business analysis, process review, and identifying opportunities for process optimization and improvement.
• Ability to analyse workflows, detect inefficiencies, and suggest actionable solutions.
• Good time management and communication skills to work effectively within teams.
• Basic knowledge of project management principles (PMP or similar certifications are a plus)
• Ability to create clear documentation, report progress, and support team coordination
