Duration: 3 Months (Extendable Contract)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team for a short-term project in Ras Laffan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a wide range of field instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal plant performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and calibration of field instruments such as transmitters, sensors, pressure gauges, control valves, flow meters, and analyzers.
- Diagnose and repair instrumentation faults and ensure minimum equipment downtime.
- Assist in loop checking, commissioning, and start-up activities for new installations or shutdown projects.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety standards and permit-to-work procedures during site operations.
- Coordinate with the control room and maintenance team for instrumentation-related issues.
- Support the engineering team in implementing upgrades or modifications to instrumentation systems.
Requirements:
- Diploma / ITI in Instrumentation or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of field instruments, PLC/DCS systems, and calibration tools.
- Experience in plant shutdown, maintenance, or commissioning projects preferred.
- Ability to interpret P&ID, loop drawings, and instrument datasheets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work in Ras Laffan on a 3-month extendable contract.
- Salary: QAR 4,000 per month
