Senior UX Interaction Designer, Local Service Ads

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.
• Experience creating or delivering presentations with Slides.
• Experience working with UX industry tools such as Figma.
• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features within a user-centered design process.
• Ability to communicate and influence product design strategy.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. In this role, you will own the end-to-end user experience, guide projects from initial concept to successful launch in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Cross-Product Area stakeholders across Search.

We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process, from exploring broad concepts and taking creative risks to delivering practical, inventive solutions and driving ideas from conception to launch.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering partners to define a user-centered product goal, and work cross-functionally to align on iterative steps to achieve it.
• Create a range of design deliverables to communicate the user experience, including mocks, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and detailed visual specifications.
• Leverage data, analytics, and user research to inform design decisions, and integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product updates.
• Contribute to a creative and supportive UX culture by establishing shared design resources and patterns, and advocating for design-centered improvements.
