About The Job
Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating agreements, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting agreement recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.
The Global Network Solutions (GNS) focuses on the strategic long-term goals of Google’s networking infrastructure. It identifies governments, companies, and other partners that are key to long-term networking success and stability. This international team collaborates with internal stakeholders and many external government and multi-stakeholder organizations as well as an array of suppliers to create construction agreements, oversee the delivery of each cable system, then operate and maintain that infrastructure and critical relationships for high reliability and security.
The GNS team also stays abreast of political changes, the regulatory landscape and other opportunities where Google can utilize its network to advance other key strategic goals of Google.
The partnerships team is focused on the key long term relationships with governments, customers, suppliers and other multi-stakeholder organizations to allow collaborative and long-term solutions which secure our long-term operational stability and security while advancing Google’s long-term interests.
