Senior Software Engineer - Core Applications

Key Responsibilties:

1. Partner with business product owners to drive Product & Proposition targets or Customer Service deliverables.
2. Lead the technical delivery of assigned tasks or projects.
3. Build relationships with Delivery Leads, other Engineering team members, and business users across the organization.
4. Engage and articulate the technical solution effectively across teams.
5. Contribute to the overall Policy Admin System architecture and design by providing best practice guidance and patterns.
6. Maintain knowledge and understanding of the relevant industry verticals critical for implementation.
7. Stay fully aware of the latest updates and developments in the Insurance/Financial industries to support or suggest appropriate solutions for user needs.
8. Be task-driven and able to control and commit to agreed timelines.

Requirement:

1. Deep understanding of Life Policy Administration features and functionalities.
2. 5–7 years of experience in the Insurance/Financial industry, with a minimum of 5 years supporting Core Policy Admin systems, especially Life Asia/Life400.
3. Knowledge of surrounding applications such as underwriting engines, front-end/mobile applications, and workflow systems.
4. Strong experience in omnichannel integration.
5. Solid understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
6. Knowledge of integrating Core Applications with surrounding systems such as Sales Portals, Workflow, and Underwriting Engines.
7. Solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset with strong communication skills.
8. Excellent conceptual and analytical skills with high motivation to define process automation.
9. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment.
10. Experience with application integration middleware (e.g., MuleSoft) is an advantage.
11. Strong understanding of Agile/Iterative delivery methodologies.
