Your Team, Your Impact

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented FAE Intern to join our technical team in Wuhan or Suzhou. This role offers hands-on experience working with cutting-edge PAM4 and Coherent optical technologies. As an intern, you will collaborate closely with senior FAEs and the U.S. application team to support customer engagements, debug hardware/software systems, and help optimize optical module performance.

What You Can Expect

  • Assist senior FAEs in reviewing customer designs involving PAM4 and Coherent optical modules
  • Support lab activities to tune and optimize customer modules for improved performance under the guidance of experienced engineers
  • Participate in product bring-up and evaluation, including initial software setup, TX/RX performance testing, and reproducing/reporting issues
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, FAQs, and internal training materials
  • Join onsite or remote customer support sessions to assist in debugging and issue resolution
  • Learn and apply internal software tools for development, analysis, and debugging
  • Support signal chain simulations using component models (as needed)

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • Fundamental understanding of high-speed signaling (e.g., PAM4) or optical communication systems is preferred
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., C, Python); knowledge of embedded systems and hardware debugging is a plus
  • Strong willingness to learn, effective communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
  • Able to commit at least 3–5 days per week for a period of 6 months or more
  • Experience with DCA, BERT, or other test equipment is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of signal and power integrity is a plus
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ADS or HFSS is desirable
