We are strengthening OP Markets’ Quantitative Development team with a developer-oriented Quantitative Analyst (Quantitative Developer) to work with us in Helsinki, Vallila.
The purpose of the Quantitative Development team is to support the customer business by streamlining business processes and enabling new business solutions, building pricing intelligence for money market products, modeling of counterparty risk, funding and capital costs. Thus, the Quant team is a key ingredient in helping the traders and sales to succeed and the business to achieve its goals.
What Would You Get To Do?
As a developer-oriented Quantitative Analyst (Quantitative Developer) at OP, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing our cutting-edge financial services. Your web development expertise will allow you to contribute to creating user interfaces that impress our stakeholders. As a full-stack developer you will also be interacting with our proprietary C++ pricing and risk libraries which serve as the backbone of many of our backend systems. Your understanding of C++ will be invaluable as you collaborate with your colleagues in the team.
As an ambitious agile team, we have end-to-end responsibility for system development and a great deal of both freedom and responsibility in finding the best ways to maximize customer value. In this role, you get a unique chance to be one of the few quantitative analysts in the whole country and produce high quality operations which would even impress our competitors on an international scale!
Your Key Qualifications
- Education with quantitative background
- Strong programming skills in Typescript, Python or C++
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS and its CDK
- Experience with OOP and/or functional programming paradigms
- Focus on details and analytic approach for problem solving
- Team player and capability to work in agile/lean projects
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Fluency in Finnish is beneficial, particularly in cross-team collaboration
Nice To Haves
- Experience on event-driven real time systems and concurrent or co-operative programming
- Knowledge of databases and SQL
- Exposure to React-applications will be highly beneficial
- Basic knowledge of derivatives pricing models (in any of interest-rate, FX, equity, credit and XVA)
- Basic knowledge of Excel and VBA
- Experience working with Boost and QuantLib-libraries
