As a Senior Project Manager, you play a key role in lean, performance focused and innovative NPD team. Within Tea Supply Chain, the project management team are the engine that drives the delivery of NPD & TSC initiatives and are respected in the business for the value that they deliver.
You will drive and deliver NPD & TSC strategic projects across the Twinings product portfolio including NPD Core innovation, NPD Adapt & TSC Value Optimisation & TSC Procurement initiatives where complexity of the project or impact on consumer experience require high and mature project management skills.
You will have energy and passion for delivery and be a part of a high performing NPD team which consistently delivers products which exceeds the expectations of consumers, and utilises all available expertise to maximise opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver NPD & TSC strategic projects positively and proactively, on time in full.
- Responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of NPD project with different level of complexity.
- Manage Markets and other Teams expectations through regular effective communication to all stakeholders and team members.
- Using appropriate tools / schedules for activity planning and leading project meetings to engage the project team to actively participate and support the project implementation. Make sure that the project is on track, stakeholders are aligned, and issues / blockages / risks are highlighted on a timely basis.
- To identify and highlight risks and challenges through the life of a project and together with the project team find solutions that will minimize the risks.
- Influencing, managing, briefing and co-ordinating people across Team NPD and across Tea Supply Chain (including Technical, Procurement, Data Team, Finance, Regulatory & Supply Centres) and relevant external suppliers (e.g. design agency, material suppliers, co-packer, etc.) to engage in and deliver projects.
- Creating and implementing the project timeline and supervising its implementation.
- Coordinating the first production in the production area and monitoring the implementation progress until the product is fully approved.
- Ensuring project statuses and key milestones are kept accurate and up to date in the NPD Gateway system.
- Updating other systems (e.g. EDC for estimated costings), KPIs and Data Bridges with key information to enable project delivery.
- Working with the rest of the Project Managers to support other projects, look at process improvement opportunities and proactively share learnings on projects.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- Track record of achievement within an innovations or project role in a fast paced, Food/FMCG /personal care manufacturing environment.
- Managed multiple projects at the same time with differing timelines & requirements.
- Managed and delivered complex projects.
- Worked in a matrix, shared service or virtual team environment.
- Worked in large cross-functional teams and with multiple stakeholders, gaining engagement and alignment to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Demonstrate a client/customer focused mind set.
- Solution focused to address and resolve issues / problems / risks.
- Lead and inspire others, and influence cross functionally, manage key relationships and stakeholders, both internal and external, whilst keeping a clear focus on the end goal.
- The ability to communicate proactively, clearly and concisely across cultures with the right people at the right time, including the best approach to communicate (emails, phone calls, etc.).
- Capable of working cross functionally with marketing, operations and regional teams across different countries and time zones.
- Analyse information, identify anomalies and inaccuracies and proactively act to address them.
- Ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure on many things at once, without compromising quality or delivery.
- Ability to be agile / flexible in approach and ways of working and embraces change.
- Good Facilitation skills, capable of running effective meeting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Multi-tasking and effective prioritisation.
