WHAT YOU’LL DO
As Senior Accountant for Greece, you will be responsible for ensuring that the financial operations of the organization are well-managed, compliant, and transparent, contributing to overall business success according to H&M group rules and local regulations.
You will:
• Ensure that accounting procedures comply with local statutory requirements
• Perform month-end closing procedures
• Be responsible for keeping the books correct and updated according to H&M group rules and local regulations
• Be responsible for Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Secure routines for fixed asset bookings and depreciation calculations
• Work in accordance with VAT & Corporate Tax & Withholding Tax rules
• Prepare statutory reporting and statistics & take part in Liquidity planning
• Research and correct any out-of-balance situations between the GL and sub-ledger
• Prepare assigned journal entries & assigned general ledger reconciliations
• Review general ledger reconciliations prepared by others
• Prepare monthly commissions
• Support and assist audits (both internal and external)
• Maintain contact with other accounting departments in the HUB and Shared Service Center.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As Senior Accountant, you will work closely with local accounting and consultants in HUB ensuring cross-collaboration with shared service center. In addition, you will collaborate with other accounting managers, seniors or experts across countries in HUB East Europe, ensuring cross-collaboration for accurate, compliant and efficient HUB accounting process.

- We are looking for people with…
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in retail business or a similar sector (FMCG)
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably SAP and Trintech Cadency
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a preference for a master’s degree combined with equivalent experience in accounting and to be a certified accountant
