Job Description

Are you ready to begin your career in Site Reliability Engineering and make a meaningful impact from day one? Join the Services Engineering team within Operations & Infrastructure (O&I), where you’ll support the fulfilment of service requests across Visa’s infrastructure and SCE platforms—while also contributing to innovative AI-led initiatives.

This team plays a vital role in delivering services from SCE’s standard catalogue, which includes infrastructure and platform-related requests. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks (TOIL), and support migration activities—all with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

About The Team

The Services Engineering team, part of Visa’s O&I entities, supports service delivery for Spend Clarity for Enterprises (SCE). We focus on fulfilling infrastructure and platform requests, streamlining processes, and driving automation. Our mission is to ensure exceptional services, optimal product functionality, and increased operational efficiency.

What You’Ll Do

  • Fulfil infrastructure and SCE platform service requests from the standard service catalogue
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve request workflows
  • Identify and help reduce repetitive tasks through automation
  • Support migration projects and contribute to process improvements
  • Contribute to GenAI initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine interest in infrastructure, platforms, or service operations
  • Enthusiasm to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment
  • A basic understanding of automation tools or scripting (advantageous but not essential)
  • Curiosity about AI technologies and how they can improve service delivery.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD) with 1+ year of relevant experience, or
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a technical role involving infrastructure, operations, or software support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with transactional systems e.g., banking, finance, telecommunications, etc
  • Competence in scripting using PowerShell and Python, including testing and debugging
  • Exposure to enterprise SaaS applications and distributed systems
  • Familiar with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and services, preferably AWS
  • Awareness of security and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS)
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft stack (Windows Server, IIS, MS SQL Server)
  • Demonstrated initiative in automation, reliability improvements, and process optimisation
  • Customer-oriented mindset for both internal and external clients
  • Strong communicator, collaborator, and facilitator with a hands-on approach
  • Adaptable to changing environments and flexible with working hours
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development
