This strategic role will oversee a broad array of procurement activities necessary to support multiple projects under our various initiatives.
As the Senior Manager - Procurement, you will play a critical role in strategy development and the execution of procurement processes, ensuring that our projects receive timely, quality, and cost-effective goods and services. You will lead a team of procurement professionals, manage supplier relationships, and have the opportunity to influence procurement policy across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that support project objectives and align with the company's overall goals.
- Manage the complete procurement lifecycle from sourcing to contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Monitor procurement performance and compliance, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and relevant regulations.
- Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Lead procurement initiatives through collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and improve processes.
- Mentor and develop procurement staff, ensuring a high level of professionalism within the team.
- Prepare and deliver reports on procurement performance and strategic updates to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement with 4-5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a familiarity in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
- Ability to lead teams and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
