Chief Operating Officer's (COO) Office
The COO's Office supports our COO to streamline operations and align them with strategic goals. You will work with the COO, Heads of Departments, and stakeholders across GIC to achieve operational excellence.

What will you do as a VP, Business Manager? 

Working as part of the Director’s office, you will bring strategic and structured thinking and approaches to help manage the business effectively and efficiently, all with a change-oriented mindset. This includes:

  • Business Management: Spearhead the department’s internal communication and engagement plan - assist in the planning, execution, and/or coordination of meetings, forums, and/or internal events.
  • Responsible for regular and ad hoc senior management reporting and presentations. 
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business and operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee smooth functioning of day-to-day administrative activities.
  • Governance: Support orchestration and delivery of governance mechanisms ensuring that appropriate decisions and forums are in place.
  • Portfolio Management: Support development and management of comprehensive business plans, including financial projections, budget, workforce and risk assessments, to support the decision-making processes.
  • Supporting strategy development, market analysis and strategic initiatives: Support to facilitate the creation of strategy and strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate and execute strategies aligned with the department’s goals. Support with defining, implementing and monitoring of strategic initiatives from time to time.

What makes you a successful candidate?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least 8+ years of reelvant experience in strategy development, business management, and financial analysis. Preferred experience within a technology function of financial services firm
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights (proven ability to bring order to unstructured problems)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Project management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful project completion
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and regulatory framework
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for strategic decision support
  • High level of adaptability, creativity, and strategic thinking to navigate a dynamic business environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and JIRA
  • Independent and highly motivated team player with a positive work attitude and strong interpersonal skills
