Security Protective Officer -3R

Position Summary: We are hiring Armed Security Officers. Clearance Opportunities – after completion of 12 months as an uncleared officer you will be given the option/opportunity to submit for TS/SCI with CI poly clearance if you choose. Upon receiving your Top-Secret clearance, and a shift is available you’ll be promoted to a Full-Time, Cleared Armed Security Protective Officer (SPO) position in Northern Virginia.  

Work Schedule: Day Shift Monday – Friday between the hours of 0630 – 1830

Pay: $30.00 / hour + $4.23 Health & Welfare.

Minimum Requirements:

• US Citizen
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid U.S. state-issued driver's license
• No domestic violence convictions (Lautenberg compliance)

At least one of the following:

• Two years of service in the U.S. Armed Forces
• Two years of experience in physical security or a combo of military service and security experience
• An Associate degree or higher in a security-related or law enforcement field
• Completion of a police officer basic training academy
• Three years of experience as a security officer

Physical Requirements

Heavy work: Exerting up to 200 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• Must have visual and audio acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment, machines such as fire equipment and apparatuses, firearms and clearing barrels.
• Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
• May be required to be fitted for and/or wear a respirator.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, often without breaks, and may be required to climb stairs or ladders and walk-up inclines and on uneven terrain.
