Description
Skai is seeking a passionate, strategic, and driven Senior Director, Global Operations to oversee day-to-day Corporate Operations across the US and EMEA regions as well as Business Operations globally, driving global strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the COO, the Senior Director will play a key role on the Global Operations and Culture team, collaborating closely with Human Resources, IT, and Information Systems. On the Business Operations front, they will collaborate with global teams across the company to drive forward corporate initiatives. They will lead a team of four Office and Culture Managers and partner with leaders, managers, and employees across various regional offices. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about building and leading a creative, people-first workplace program while advancing critical business operations in a fast-paced, agile environment centered on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities
Global Operations & Culture
● Lead the US and EMEA Operations and Culture team in implementing Skai offerings and solutions aligned to the broader Global Operations plan and strategy
● Guide the Office and Culture Managers in creating a strong and energetic, “customer first,” environment within each office and across the region, while aligning to Skai’s overall culture
● Maintain Skai standards across all offices, ensuring consistent and seamless operations
● Collaborate with the global Operations team to build end-to-end processes and programs for Skai
● Actively identify and recommend innovative and creative initiatives to improve the overall employee experience
● Drive operational growth by identifying opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvements, risk mitigation, industry trends and efficiency across regions
● Oversee facility services and amenities, balancing quality, cost, efficiency and employee experience
● Lead and initiate special, one-off projects such as office moves/upgrades, local company events, volunteer days and more
● Understand our unique Skai culture, partnering with Human Resources to ensure programs and plans are consistent, on brand, and effective
● Manage vendor relationships, negotiate commercial aspects of agreements and work closely with Legal to manage contracts
● Support the performance and development of the direct reports
Business Operations & Strategy
● Work directly with COO and other business leaders to drive corporate business initiatives, owning key initiatives
● Develop a deep, holistic understanding of Skai’s overall business objectives, revenue goals and strategic roadmap
● Bring together and lead cross-functional working groups to drive company-wide projects
● Partner with internal teams and leaders globally and leverage strong project management skills to ensure smooth, time and cost-effective execution of projects
● Stay ahead of industry trends to inform and elevate workplace effectiveness at both regional and global levels
Requirements
● 7+ years of experience in operations or a related field, in a startup or fast-paced, tech-driven environment
● Experience in project management, including the ability to drive projects successfully from inception to completion, manage timelines, resources, and stakeholders
● Proven ability to drive day-to-day operations and culture while supporting broader global initiatives in culture and business operations
● Track record of optimizing offerings, processes, and systems through technology, cross-functional collaboration, and strong partnerships across regions and teams
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust with colleagues and senior stakeholders by being collaborative, positive, solutions-oriented, and driving towards a common goal
● Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of innovative thinking
● Negotiation and vendor management skills
● Comfortable working and thrives in a fast-paced, diverse dynamic, and highly collaborative environment
● Demonstrated leadership in team development, change management, and crisis response
● Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to delivering on goals and responsibilities with a proactive, “can-do” attitude

We are hybrid for the long term - with a great home/ office work mix (three days in office per week), passionate and diverse team members, and a vibrant company culture.
The annual salary range for this position is $160,000-180,000. The actual salary will vary depending on the applicants experience, skills and abilities as well as internal equity and market data. This position is also eligible for additional quarterly bonus compensation through one of Skai’s highly attractive incentive plans, full details will be provided during the recruitment process.
