General Summary: The cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the menu, and following food health and safety procedures. Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff and deliver food in a fast-paced environment. Work may include operating a grill, oven, or fryer.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations
• Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
• Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift
• Cooking order according to food health and safety standards
• Handling multiple food orders at one time
• Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive
• Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides
• Storing all food properly
• Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils
• Reordering stock and food supplies
• Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education – High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience – 1 year of cook experience preferred.
REGULATORY:
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
• CPR, First Aid & AED certification, if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License, 39-month Motor Vehicle Report, proof of vehicle registration and liability insurance that meet company insurance requirements, if required.
• Negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).
