Summary:
The IT Analyst–Communications plays an important role in supporting Morgan Properties’ telecommunications and connectivity systems across all corporate offices and managed locations nationwide. Reporting to the IT Communications Manager, this position provides hands-on technical support for VOIP phone systems, analog lines, and Internet connectivity, ensuring seamless operations and reliable communication for employees and residents. Success in this role requires being detail-oriented, problem-solving, and collaborative, with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively. By partnering with vendors, cross-departmental teams, and the Training department, this position contributes to a cohesive IT environment while helping to maintain cost-effective, efficient communication solutions. The mission of the role is to deliver dependable support and ensure that the company’s communication systems remain reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.

This is a remote role that operates on Eastern Standard Time Zone.

Essential Duties:

Telecommunications Support
• Resolve IT tickets related to VOIP phone systems and Internet account issues.
• Create, modify, and disable phone extensions as needed.
• Manage analog phone lines for operational and safety needs (fire, elevator, pool, etc.).
• Migrate remaining fax lines to the e-fax platform.

Acquisition & Property Onboarding
• Support the onboarding of new properties into the phone system during acquisitions.
• Assist with post-close telecommunications tasks to ensure smooth transitions.
• Set up new Internet and phone accounts and cancel unused services when necessary.

Vendor & Expense Support
• Review telecom bills to identify unused lines or extensions and recommend cost-saving adjustments.
• Communicate with vendors as needed to resolve issues or maintain services.

Connectivity & Collaboration
• Maintain and support Internet connectivity across all Morgan Properties locations.
• Collaborate with other departments to replace outdated communication systems.
• Partner with the Training department to create and maintain user-friendly documentation for phone system use.

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
• 2-3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on VOIP system management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft O365, and other standard desktop applications.
• Basic knowledge of networking protocols and fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate solutions, review bills, and generate reporting.

Salary range: $70,000-$89,000/yr

If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
