Production lead

We are looking for a talented Production Lead to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Florence, KY

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

• Champion Safety CultureYou'll actively promote a safe work environment by identifying hazards, enforcing PPE use, and encouraging a culture where team members look out for one another.
• Ensure Product QualityBy following standard work and quality procedures, performing inspections, and addressing non-conforming materials, you'll help maintain high product standards and reduce costly defects.
• Drive Operational EfficiencyYou'll monitor team performance and assign tasks strategically to meet production goals related to volume, cost, waste reduction, and delivery timelines.
• Respond to Issues ProactivelyAs the first responder to equipment faults, part shortages, and quality or safety concerns, you'll play a key role in minimizing downtime and keeping operations running smoothly.
• Facilitate Cross-Team CommunicationYou'll coordinate activities between shifts and departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the production process.
• Support Workforce PlanningBy assisting with headcount and overtime planning, you'll help ensure the right resources are in place to meet production demands.
• Develop and Mentor Team MembersYou'll coach less experienced employees and ensure training is completed and documented, fostering a skilled and confident team.
• Promote Continuous ImprovementThrough active participation in process enhancements and employee development initiatives, you'll contribute to a culture of innovation and growth.

This is an onsite role with the expectation to be on site 5 days
