How will you make an impact in this role?

The Product Owner helps drive enterprise goals through engineering delivery. This role focuses on delivering front line Gen AI tools to improve colleague efficiency. Additional duties require partnering with stakeholder teams to deliver product roadmaps, collaboration across teams to determine product requirements, analysis of pre- and post-implementation data, and overall management of use cases development from inception to release.

The role requires a solid understanding of Gen AI architecture, experience with software development, concise communication skills, an efficient independent work ethic, and enthusiasm for delivering exciting cutting-edge tools to our American Express colleagues.

Key Responsibility

  • Product ownership and analysis for Enterprise Top Program (ETP) – GS GenAI: Interaction Summarization, Complaints Assist, Disputes Assist, and other Gen AI initiatives
  • Actively participate in all required cadence based SAFe agile ceremonies like daily stand ups, sprint planning, feature refinement, solution refinement, program increment planning (PI planning), show and tell, retrospectives, etc. to lead engineering scrum teams for product feature development
  • Project analysis for use case impacts including planning and coordinating day-to-day activities
  • Effectively manage projects, develop project plans, track project status, and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Develop Spreadsheets, Power Point Presentations, and Process Maps to document requirements for engineering team
  • Quickly grasp complex concepts required to manage projects and effectively communicate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Work with key stakeholders across servicing innovation, operations, strategy, integration, design, and technology teams to assist the product management team in creation of product roadmap, customer journeys, and product vision
  • Build and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders within and outside the program to ensure smooth delivery of results
  • Support day to day responsibility of project analysis in support of Servicing Innovation Gen AI PMO

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior Product Ownership experience is highly desired
  • Prior experience working directly with an engineering team is good to have
  • Working knowledge of Gen AI is highly desired
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of flexibility with the ability to absorb new information and adapt to change quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex technical details in simple, easy to understand manner
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with at all organizational levels
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks independently/with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience (2+ years)
  • Experience / Understanding / Certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Project Management or Agile Software Development Methodology is a plus
  • Motivated self-starter and keen learner

Minimum Qualifications

 

Salary Range: $78,000.00 to $124,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
