This is grant funded contractual position.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for field-based activities which includes collecting data, assisting in data cleaning, analysis of nutrition data and planned activities.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Visit targeted households to collect dietary data from eligible study participants.
- Collect, process and analyse household and individual information through survey questionnaires regarding dietary intake.
- Categorise food items and assign dietary scores.
- Ensure that all data collection tools and equipment are properly maintained and used according to protocol.
- Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by coordinator/Managers
- Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures for nutrition and dietary data.
- Perform quality checks and cleaning of nutrition datasets.
- Provide training sessions to educate field teams on nutrition data collection methods and dietary assessment protocols.
- Assist in interpreting nutrition data and drafting reports, summaries, and manuscripts related to dietary findings.
- Participate in community advisory panel meetings and stakeholder discussions as needed to provide expert input on dietary issues.
- Weekly report on the study
- Quarterly report on run designed data
Requirements:
You Should Have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or related field.
- Proven experience in dietary assessment methods and nutrition data analysis.
- 1-2 years in health/nutrition Survey
- Physical fitness for outdoor activities and willingness to work in community settings
- Good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work collegially with community members and with study participants.
- Familiarity with dietary scoring systems.
- Experienced with handling large datasets ensuring data quality.
- Resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
- Preferred proficiency in data analysis software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, STATA, SPSS, R etc) and MS Office.
- Ability to interpret complex nutrition data and communicate findings clearly
