Job Summary
The Clinical Liaison/Faculty Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of clinical education and supporting the professional development of faculty members throughout the health system. This position involves strategic placement of learners, preparation of clinical staff for teaching responsibilities, recruitment of clinicians for academic roles, and ongoing support for faculty development.
Minimum Requirements
Experience – 5 years of work experience in a healthcare of academic setting
Education – Master’s degree required in Education or Healthcare related field

- Ensure learners receive the best possible clinical education and experience through strategic placement.
- Interface with learners, teaching faculty, and administrators to assist with accreditation, documentation, and evaluation efforts for educational programs as needed.\
- Equip clinical staff within our health system with the necessary tools and knowledge to mentor and educate learners effectively.
- Assist the Director of Academic Affairs and DIO in planning, implementing, and evaluating faculty development workshops and courses.
- Work directly with residency/fellowship program directors in train-the-trainer programs to disseminate methods and tools in evaluation skills amongst their faculty.
- Mentor new faculty/preceptors within the hospitals.
- Assist in attracting and retaining high-quality faculty members for academic roles within each healthcare facility, creating more opportunities for learners.
- Represent educational content area on assigned internal and external committees at each system hospital.
- Provide ongoing support and resources for faculty development within our health system’s hospitals, ensuring continuous improvement in teaching quality and educational outcomes.
- Assist with the development of curriculum for both learners and faculty across the system.
- Oversee the implementation of educational activities within each market, including activity registration, program implementation, coordination of events, and overall program evaluation.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the faculty evaluation, learner evaluation, and program evaluation system specific to each market.
- Serve as administrative liaison with educational leaders/faculty/staff within the system to assure implementation and maintenance of learning activities and the learning environment.
- Act as the point of contact for sharing faculty development opportunities and resources with departmental colleagues across the health system’s hospitals.
- Coordinate with residency programs to identify and share ACGME curricular requirements among programs.
- Collaborate to determine ACGME curriculum needs and provide educational opportunities for both faculty and residents.
