Purpose Of The Role
At Worley, our purpose is delivering a more sustainable world. As a Structural Workface Planner, you will play a key role in bridging project design and field execution. You will ensure construction activities are planned, coordinated, and delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with customer expectations and Worley’s sustainability objectives. This role is critical to preparing detailed construction work packages that enable safe, productive, and quality-driven outcomes while supporting Worley’s ambition of being a recognized global leader in sustainability solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and issue structural work packages that detail scope, resources, materials, and schedule requirements to support field execution.
- Translate engineering drawings and specifications into practical, field-ready plans that align with project safety, quality, and cost objectives.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and scheduling teams to ensure materials, equipment, and labor are available to support planned work.
- Identify constraints, risks, or potential delays in work execution and recommend corrective actions to maintain project progress.
- Ensure work packages comply with industry codes, project standards, and customer requirements.
- Monitor the progress of assigned work packages in the field, updating plans as required to reflect current conditions and priorities.
- Collaborate with supervisors and craft professionals to ensure clarity of work instructions and alignment with overall project objectives.
- Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and contributing to more efficient planning and execution methods.
- Uphold Worley’s health, safety, and environmental standards in all planning activities and promote sustainable solutions across construction planning.
Qualifications / Skillset
- University degree in structural, civil, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent trade qualification with relevant training and experience.
- Experience in construction planning, field engineering, or structural workface planning within energy, chemicals, or resources projects.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and work packaging principles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Working knowledge of construction planning tools, project scheduling systems, and material management processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work packages and priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate between engineering, procurement, construction, and field teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify risks, constraints, and solutions to support successful execution.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in all planning and work preparation activities.
- Adaptability and collaborative working style, with a focus on supporting project success and team effectiveness.
