Opening For Lecturer

The Department of Statistics and Data Science at Yale University is seeking applicants for a full-time teaching faculty position at the rank of Lecturer to start in spring or fall of 2026. Salary and length of term will be based on qualifications and experience. We are looking for candidates with strong teaching skills, a passion for teaching, and experience or interest in innovative pedagogy. The successful candidates will contribute creatively to the teaching and further development of our growing Statistics & Data Science programs, particularly those courses and experiences oriented toward data analysis and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition to courses for Statistics & Data Science majors, this position will be involved in the teaching of courses in Statistics and Data Science for students of diverse backgrounds and interests throughout the university. The teaching load will be two classes per semester. More information about the department may be found at sds.yale.edu.

Qualifications

The appointee must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree or have completed all requirements by the time of hire.
