Service New Brunswick (SNB) is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join its People and Culture team as Director of Human Resources Business Partnerships. This exciting opportunity calls for a creative, results-driven, and self-motivated individual to lead the operational delivery of human resources across the organization.
As a key member of the People and Culture management team, the HRBP Director will provide leadership, oversight, and expert guidance to specialized teams supporting critical HR functions, including:
- Position classification
- Client/business partnerships
- Employee and union relations
- Disability management
- Wellness and safety
- Performance management
- Policy interpretation
- Business-related recruitment.
To succeed in this role, the Director must bring strong strategic thinking, operational expertise, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization. They must navigate complex challenges with confidence and agility while promoting a people-centered approach that aligns with SNB’s values and priorities. A deep understanding of organizational dynamics, coupled with a proven ability to lead change and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, will be essential.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing talent within their team, contributing to strategic planning and policy development, and delivering impactful briefings and presentations to the Executive Management Team in support of SNB’s Strategic Plan and its province-wide initiatives.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of human resources work experience is required, with a minimum of 3 years management experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:
- CPHR designation
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement(s) is also required:
- If the candidate is not in the Fredericton area, this position will require regular travel to SNB Headquarters based on business arising.
- This position requires some travelling within the province and flexibility in working hours, with occasional evening or weekend work, may also be required.

Salary: $93,210 - $112,788 annually – Pay Band 7 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
