Key Responsibilities (What You’re Doing)
Pitch, research, write, and update commerce content, including product roundups, buying guides, reviews, and seasonal trend pieces.
Translate GH Institute product testing data and expert insights into accurate, engaging, reader-friendly content.
Update and maintain evergreen content to ensure accuracy, optimize for SEO, and improve affiliate performance.
Create and refresh sales-driven content tied to key retail events like Prime Day, Black Friday, and holiday seasons.
- Collaborate with SEO, analytics, and commerce teams to optimize content discoverability and drive revenue growth.
- Monitor industry and consumer trends to pitch timely, relevant commerce stories across lifestyle categories.
- Uphold Good Housekeeping’s voice, editorial standards, and trustworthiness in every piece.
- Work in a hybrid capacity from our NYC office three days per week.
- Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
- Minimum 3 years of editorial experience, ideally in commerce, lifestyle, or consumer journalism.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a knack for balancing service-driven content and affiliate opportunity.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to use performance data to guide content strategy.
- Experience with content management systems, HTML, and other publishing tools.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities on tight deadlines.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm to dive deep into specific product categories and trends.
- Hybrid role based in New York City; requires three days per week in-office.

The base salary for this role is between $67,000 - $70,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
