Financial Analyst - Limerick (12 Month FTC)

Full Time

This role will include month end financial close (including journal postings) and completing finance reconciliations and analysis. The role is a key part of the SSC Financial Reporting team which will also help with providing resilience within the wider daa finance team and working on ad hoc finance projects as required.

  • Management and financial accounting analysis and control in support of the daa international finance function.
  • Co-ordination of month end financial close with various SSC and daa finance stakeholders including review of financial postings.
  • Ensure accuracy of monthly accounts for daa’s business units together with analysis against budget/latest expected.
  • Preparation, analysis and posting of journals at month end and support of business unit’s budgets and latest expected forecasts.
  • Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations at month end with proactive follow up of reconciling items.
  • Preparation of month end journals in Oracle EBS to ensure accurate and timely month end close position for Group Finance review.
  • Calculation, posting and analysis of monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring that all items are accurately captured and accounted for.
  • Support Quality Management system including active participation in team meetings and updating Standard Operating procedures in line with ISO and daa reporting requirements.

Experience

  • Shared Services experience desirable but not essential.
  • Strong month-end close and reconciliation experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion and EPM a strong advantage.
  • High personal motivation and professional integrity with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work on both own initiative and as part of a team environment.
  • Strong IT skills – Excel (Advanced), Power Point, GL Wand.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and leadership skills together with a proven effectiveness at working directly with senior management.

Education & Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant or an individual interested in studying to obtain a Professional Accounting qualification.
