This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the levels posted, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise.

The contract administration representative, with limited supervision, is responsible for processing contract requests for transport, storage and deferred delivery services; providing customer service to Northern’s external customers doing business on Northern’s pipeline relating to their contract request, processing and execution; and trains other staff as needed.

With limited direction and supervision, process Northern’s contract requests for transport, storage and deferred delivery services. 

Understand and respond to customer inquiries regarding transportation contracts and storage agreements. 

Ensure compliance with legal, contractual and regulatory guidelines and assist with maintaining Legal Entity and point of interest (POI) systems.  

Assist in the development of new contract management systems, procedures and practices in support of the overall contract management function. 

Act as a resource to contract administration representatives in reviewing work and providing information to enhance co-workers knowledge and skills.  

Provide technical input to assist in development of project planning. 

Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. 

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree). 

Contract Administration Rep II - Five or more years of work experience in the administration of transportation and storage contracts. 

Contract Administration Rep I - Three or more years of related experience in the administration of transportation and storage contracts.

Working knowledge in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

Ability to create and manage data within an Access database is a plus. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively contribute in this work environment. 

Familiarity with NNG Gas Tariff would be beneficial. 

This work environment is characterized by tight daily time constraints and responsibilities that require the ability to adapt and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. 

Must be able to interact with multiple levels of business and technical personnel and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills in order to recognize and resolve problems in a timely manner. 

Must be available for on-call, overtime and weekend work as necessary for customer support. 

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
