Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Counseling and Support Clinic Coordinator, serves as a professional performing a wide range of direct and indirect behavioral health services within a specific program or area of assignment to consumers with mild to moderate behavioral health needs and/or mild intellectual disability. Recommends referrals to various programs, program components, and other services in the community. May provide case management, intakes, facilitation of a variety of groups; and outreach to consumers with multiple needs. Works in partnership with other clinical programs. Responsible for detailed case documentation. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements: Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is required. Two years of professional experience in behavioral health treatment. Must be Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or must become certified within a maximum of 3 years from date of hire or change in regulation. Access a reliable means of transportation for job related use required. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally is required. Possession a valid Michigan driver’s license. 

Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must pass a State of Michigan police clearance check. Annual reviews may be required. Must pass an initial and annual Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) check. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

 Salary/Hours: $51,501 - $58,557 per hour with annual increases that can result in a salary of $68,325.  40 hours, traditional business hours. Monday through Friday with some Monday or Wednesday evening hours possible.
