OBGYN Physician

The candidate will join the department comprised of general Ob/Gyns and all the ABOG subspecialties. As a generalist the candidate will perform 24 hrs. per week of in-house coverage (either one 24 hr. or two 12 hr. shifts) and 16 hours of ambulatory care. The department is composed of residents, midwives and APNs who will be supervised by the faculty.  Full time compensation $399,360.

In-House Responsibilities Include:

• Care for unassigned inpatient OB and GYN patients
• Provide triage and / or OB ED services
• Provide GYN consultations for hospitalized patients and the Emergency Department
• Oversee residents and midwives.
• Provide in-house coverage and L&D support: interpretation of EFM strips,

supervise/perform deliveries and monitoring of laboring patients for private OBs (delivery of private patients only if private does not make delivery in an emergent situation).

• Serve as MFM extenders
• Surgically assist for other Obs or gynecologists during in-house coverage.

Ambulatory Responsibilities Include:

• Supervising and teaching the residents during their continuity clinics
• Serving as collaborative physician for the APNs and midwives
• Delivering direct patient care.
• Also included on the service will be medical students and residents from other services that will be taught and supervised by the faculty attending.

Board Certification within 5 years of graduating from residency.
