Advice is hiring for AqSol Bahamas Ltd. AqSol is a Bahamian company founded on a vision to provide earth-friendly solar power and sea water desalination solutions to make Island Life easy and sustainable.
This position will be based in Nassau, Bahamas.
We are looking for a highly motivated Solar Operations & Project Manager to lead residential and light commercial solar installation projects in the Bahamas. This is a hands-on role that combines project management with operational leadership, overseeing projects from sales handoff to commissioning, while driving the budgeting, profitability, and overall performance of the solar business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the solar business unit with full P&L accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
Manage multiple small to mid-size solar projects simultaneously, covering permitting, installation, and final inspection.
Serve as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and excellent service throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate seamlessly with internal teams (designers, installers, electricians, operations) and external partners (suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors).
Oversee permitting and interconnection processes with local authorities and utilities.
Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Proactively identify risks and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Maintain thorough documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project records.
Identify and implement operational improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
Support business growth by analyzing project outcomes, market trends, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
A strong command of English, both spoken and written, is essential to ensure effective communication with clients, consultants, and on-site teams.
Solid knowledge of solar PV systems, permitting, inspections, and utility interconnection processes, along with proven experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management, is required.
The ideal candidate should have a background as a licensed electrician or substantial hands-on electrical experience.
A hands-on attitude is critical, combined with strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills. The position requires someone self-driven, open-minded, and eager to learn – calm and patient, yet persistent and results-oriented when it comes to achieving objectives.
Proficiency with project management and CRM tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Salesforce is also expected.
It would be nice to have OSHA safety certification, a NABCEP credential, or PMP certification.

Requisitos
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience – together with at least 3–5 years of project management experience in solar, construction, or electrical trades, with preference for residential or light commercial projects.A strong command of English, both spoken and written, is essential to ensure effective communication with clients, consultants, and on-site teams.
