Position Description
Performs administrative support-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters. Work requires contact with private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Maintenance Support Tech I:
- Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and/or serves as receptionist or frontdesk assistant
- Assists district personnel with annual inventory of supplies, stockpiles and minor equipment
- Conducts monthly spot inventories, verifies inventory findings, reconciles and coordinates with Business Services onadjustments needed.
- Maintains and updates office files/records/logs and a wide variety of automated systems in support of personnel, finance,budgeting, maintenance, inventory, contracts, purchasing, travel information, and/or permitting activities.
- Maintains radio contact with field units; responds to assists with emergency situations as required.
- Monitors the use of equipment and transfers.
- Prepares and distributes correspondence.
- Maintains calendars for department personnel to include scheduling meetings, coordinating and making appointments, andtravel arrangements
- Processes receipts and invoices for payment.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned
Maintenance Support Tech Ii:
- Maintains materials inventory.
- Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and/or serves as receptionist or frontdesk assistant.
- Assists district personnel with annual inventory of supplies, stockpiles and minor equipment.
- Conducts monthly spot inventories, verifies inventory findings, reconciles and coordinates with Business Services onadjustments needed.
- Maintains and updates office files/records/logs and a wide variety of automated systems in support of personnel, finance,budgeting, maintenance, inventory, contracts, purchasing, travel information, and/or permitting activities.
- Maintains radio contact with field units; responds to assists with emergency situations as required.
- Maintains calendars for department personnel to include scheduling meetings, coordinating and making appointments, andtravel arrangements.Processes receipts and invoices for payment.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Maintenance Support Tech Iii:
- Creates and maintains related activity logs, files and reports on services.
- Evaluates and researches information to solve customer service problems.
- Inputs and maintains daily production reports and compiles monthly reports for manager.
- May serve as a lead worker and the related tasks.
- Coordinates with district personnel with annual inventory of supplies, stockpiles and minor equipment.
- Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and/or serves as receptionist or frontdesk assistant.
- Conducts monthly spot inventories, verifies inventory findings, reconciles and coordinates with Business Services onadjustments needed.
- Maintains materials inventory.
- Maintains and updates office files/records/logs and a wide variety of automated systems in support of personnel, finance,budgeting, maintenance, inventory, contracts, purchasing, travel information, and/or permitting activities.

Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience: Maintenance Support Tech I - None; Maintenance Support Tech II - 1 year experience* ; Maintenance Support Tech III - 3 years experience*
*Experience must be in administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
