As the Senior Director of Data Architecture at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Technology Office, you will oversee and guide multiple data architecture departments. Your role involves collaborating across both business and technical domains to execute key initiatives within the architecture function. You will leverage your extensive expertise to promote the adoption and implementation of advanced technical methods across various teams, ensuring the firm stays ahead in industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-wide data solutions that support technology asset discovery, lifecycle management, and compliance, with particular attention to ITAM requirements.
- Lead initiatives to integrate data architecture with ITAM systems, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and optimization of technology assets.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, and ITAM teams to develop and enforce governance policies for asset data, lineage, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive remediation of data quality, inventory, and metadata issues impacting asset management processes and reporting.
- Oversee the development and deployment of automated solutions for asset data collection, reconciliation, and analytics.
- Champion best practices for data stewardship, classification, and lifecycle management in large, complex environments.
- Provides leadership and high-level direction to teams while frequently overseeing employees across multiple data architecture platforms, divisions, and lines of business
- Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives to drive consensus across competing objectives
- Manages multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on data architecture concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise and more broadly across the organization.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise data architecture projects that address ITAM, asset lifecycle, or configuration management challenges.
- Extensive practical experience with public and private cloud architecture
- Proven track record of integrating data architecture with ITAM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and driving measurable improvements in asset data quality and compliance.
- Strong understanding of ITAM processes, data governance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR) as they relate to technology resources.
- Demonstrated experience implementing IT asset management and data governance practices in accordance with FFIEC requirements or similar regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions that support ITAM objectives.
- Experience developing and leading large cross-functional teams of data architects
- Experience leading complex data architecture projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
- Experience working at code level
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience implementing data architecture solutions for ITAM in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., CITAM, CSAM) or related data governance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, metadata management, and master data management.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools for asset data collection and reconciliation.
- Track record of driving organizational change and adoption of data-driven ITAM practices.
