Supervisor, Retail/Specialty Pharmacy - (250926-50023974) Purpose of Position: To assure effective provision of pharmacy services during work shifts.
Description
:- 1. Responsible for the operational aspects of the pharmacy during their shift.
- 2. Participates in the inventory control system.
- 3. Assures that the pharmacy systems are in compliance with State and Federal laws and guidelines, Regulatory Agency laws and guidelines, the hospital mission statement and the hospital's policies and procedures.
- 4. Participates in the interviewing, hiring and associated activities.
- 5. Participating in operational coverage for Pharmacy Staff at all Retail Pharmacy sites and locations.
- 6. Participates the clinical and educational functions of the department for the hospital and the community.
- 7. Participates in the Quality Assurance and Improvement activities of the department and the hospital.
- 8. Participates in interviews and the selection, orientation, scheduling and assignment of personnel.
- 9. Conducts performance evaluations of assigned personnel
- 10. Recommends necessary staffing, participates in development of department's operating and capital budgets
Qualifications
:- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Pharmacy or Pharm D
- (Pharmacist) - Currently licensed as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- (BLS) - Current Basic Life Support certification
- (Cert) – Immunization Certification
- Three Years (3) recent full-time experience of progressively responsible Pharmacy leadership
- Must be able to travel as needed, both within and outside the organization, using personal transportation to fulfill position responsibilities
- Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
