About The Role

The Production Support Senior Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and reliability of production systems. This role involves proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, root cause analysis, and implementation of improvements to enhance system performance and resilience.

Reporting Line: Production Support Lead

Worksite: Remote

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support high-load production systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve incidents (L2/L3 support).
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), document findings, and implement preventive measures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and manage incidents end-to-end.
  • Configure and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve incidents and deliver improvements.
  • Ensure SLA compliance and monitor service metrics (SLO/SLI).
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.
  • Automate Operational Processes.

  • Monitor and support high-load production systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalents).
  • Scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, Go, or similar).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPNs).
  • Proven track record in incident management and RCA.
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis).
  • Understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) principles.
  • Ability to read and analyze Java code for troubleshooting and support purposes.
  • Strong log analysis skills and the ability to build dashboards and visualizations from log data.
  • Proficient knowledge of Nginx, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Reverse engineering mindset ability to investigate and document existing systems, create interaction diagrams, configure monitoring, and provide technical documentation.
